Working with your templates

As upgrade day (this Monday!!) draws closer we thought it would be a good idea to take an in-depth look at your templates, previous emails and how to access them.

Getting Started

After login you can either click on Getting Started or Create & Send to generate this screen. From here you will see a list of your previously saved emails. These can be clicked on or you can click “show all my saved emails”.

Next stop will be the more familiar navigation panel, where you’ll find all your previously saved emails and the email editor itself.

You’ll be able to differentiate between an email created with your fixed templates and an email created with a drag and drop one by the colour of the envelope next to the file name.

White = your fixed templates
Black = drag and drop templates

With your fixed template editor you’ll be able to do everything you can currently do, nothing has changed.

From here you can build a new campaign with your fixed templates, or a free drag and drop one if you’d like a look at the new features. This screen now shows you a new inbox preview.

All accounts are now set-up to automatically include Google Analytics should you wish to. NewZapp will add the campaign name as a query string to all your links on your email campaigns. When a subscriber follows these links to your website, your Google Analytics account will automatically display this in your ‘Traffic Sources’ report.

This allows you to track in more depth the traffic your email marketing campaigns send to your website. You could use this to improve the quality of your landing pages and to recognise if, where, and why a subscriber drops off your website.

Your Fixed Templates

All of your templates that are currently in your account can be found under the ‘Fixed’ template tab. This includes bespoke templates that we have created for you and any free fixed templates you use.

The other tabs contain a variety of new free drag and drop templates. These are all fully mobile responsive designs and utilise our brand new drag and drop editor.
