We have some amazing news to tell you, we’re upgrading your NewZapp account for free on March the 2nd.
You won’t have to lift a finger, all your content (saved emails, reports, subscribers, groups, folders etc) in your account at the moment will be safe and sound. Let’s be honest, nobody really likes change but don’t panic, in this instance we know you’ll love the new look and features.
NewZapp 6, our very latest version of email marketing software, is about to revolutionise the way you create your emails. Now it’s even easier to create your campaigns with our brand new drag and drop editor. The effortless new editor will save you time and make the process of creating emails a breeze.
You can easily layout, design and customise your emails, with no HTML knowledge required. It’s as simple as dragging and dropping the blocks you want from the toolbar and adding text and images to customise your email. You can easily add personalisation and social buttons all with a single drop.
NewZapp 6. Here’s what you need to know…
The subscriber tab functionality is exactly as it was in NewZapp 5 but it has had a makeover. All your subscribers, groups and folders will remain in your account when the switch-over occurs so there’s no need to worry about re-uploading files or getting to grips with a different import system.
The LIVE! Reports tab is also completely unchanged, although the tab is now called ‘Track’. The only difference you’ll notice in this section is a makeover in terms of appearance. All your old campaigns and reports will remain in the account.
You’ll note the settings tab has gone but you’ll still be able to access your company details, products, invoices, payment cards, preferences, custom fields and shop via the cog icon on the top right hand corner of your account.
Create and Send
Now this is where you’re going to see the biggest difference. The entire ‘Create & Send’ tab has completely been redesigned and features a brand new drag and drop editor – I promise it’s not as scary as it sounds. As with all the other tabs though, your previously saved emails will remain in your account under the navigation panel.
However, it is important to note that any emails created with the old NewZapp 5 editor are fixed and will not be drag and droppable. If you wish to work on an old email you can do so but upon selecting it the editor will automatically switch to the fixed template editor which you’ll be accustomed to from NewZapp 5. Clever right!?
Drag ‘n’ Drop
Drap and Drop
Likewise if you’ve had a fixed bespoke template created by our design team you don’t need to worry, it will still be available in your account however it won’t be drag and droppable. Upon selecting your fixed bespoke template the editor will automatically convert to the fixed editor template.
For those of you ready to get stuck in, there are a range of new flexible templates available in the account which allow you to drag and drop layout, text and image blocks in order for you to create your very own template.
To make your life even easier we have written ‘Drag and Drop User Guides’ for every section of the new editor. These PDFs can be found over on our Help Centre.
Any email you create using the new drag and drop editor will automatically be mobile responsive meaning they will display perfectly on desktops, smart phones and tablets.
Images and documents
Uploading images and documents has never been easier. Gone is the old ‘image manager’ so now all you need to do is simply drag and drop the file into the uploads section then once imported drag and drop it into your email. There’s even a new search function.

Social sharing buttons
The old social button in NewZapp 5 has gone and in its place we have an entire ‘social’ panel. Now you can choose from large and small sizes of both ‘follow’ and ‘share’ buttons for each social network including Google+, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
Personalisation was always a tricky one in NewZapp 5 – trying to remember the exact tag wasn’t always the easiest of tasks. Well, now you can add title, first name, last name, company name, email address, a view online link as well as any custom fields you might wish to setup all with a single drop.
Before the rollout of NewZapp 6 on Monday the 2nd of March we recommend familiarising yourself with all of the drag and drop user guides so you’ll be ready and raring to go on the day. For a look at the editor right now click the link below and we’ll send you over some logins.
