If you’re a NewZapp customer who currently uses SPF please note as of May the 4th 2015 this will need to be updated to reflect our new IP addresses.
Sender policy frame work (SPF) is a method for recipients to check your domain registry where you’ve authorised your host or your sending service to deliver newsletters on your behalf. In other words, it helps your recipients determine if an email is a scam or not.
By having an SPF record it will show that you are giving NewZapp, or any other email marketing software, permission to send mail on behalf of your domain, so should any spam filters look this up they will see we have permission to send using your domain.
To setup an SPF record you can add the below to your domain/DNS records. It is recommended to ask your hosting company or IT team to handle this for you.
SPF (TXT file type)
Record type = TXT
Content = “v=spf1 include:_spf.newzapp.co.uk ~all”
