South West Business Insidernewzapp hits the expansion button

May 2010

With newzapp 5 in development, the South West Business Insider spoke to Managing Director Trevor Munday about manoeuvrability in the market place, especially during changing economic times.

DestiNet's origins in Plymouth in 1998 as a web design company first needed to change when they moved to Exeter just one year later. "At that time we were doing a lot of our business with companies in Exeter, where there was a strong retail and manufacturing base." Says Trevor.

In 2003 the company dropped website design to focus on building newzapp email marketing. The move proved profitable and has made the company more resilient during the downturn.

With a new software platform in the offing and a flexible pricing structure to keep customers on board, Trevor is confident.

"The city feels lively just now, and confidence is returning" he says. "At the same time, there is still plenty of office space available and some good deals on offer for growing companies such as ours to make the most of."
