Crystal clear: "newzapp saves us time and money"
Crystal Communications are a specialist company who provide information to automotive technicians through Aftermarket Magazine and promote the advancement of skills through events such as Top Technician (an annual skills competition) and Technical Workshop (a series of conferences).
Crystal Communications began using the newzapp email marketing software in January 2008 and having quickly felt the benefits, now send a variety of monthly emails.
Using newzapp, Crystal Communications have seen increases in both the response to their emails and click-throughs to their website. The reports significantly save time in responding effectively to their customers, but to date, the impact of newzapp has been the benefit to the editorial department.
“Before newzapp, the assistant editor would print and post more than 800 letters every month,” said Simon Gardner, who looks after new media for Crystal Communications.
”Add together the material costs of ink, envelopes and postage and the time taken to put the mailshot together (upwards of two days, often with the help of other members of staff), it was costing us roughly £1,500 a month, taking 2-4 days work and it was very slow.”
“With newzapp the assistant editor can simply send the email, which is easily tailored and improved each month. It costs us around £72 a month and takes around one hour to create. It is much more responsive.”
