In this country we have been blessed with so much that we take everything for granted. We just don't realise that we have a responsibility to share our good fortune with those who have nothing.

World In Need is in daily contact with families – and especially children – who have to choose who can eat today, who wears the shoes today, who gets an education and who receives medicine. There is never enough for the whole family!

Through Child Sponsorship you can help relieve their poverty, reduce their problems and increase their hopes of a better future by sponsoring a child for 66p a day or a whole family for £1.00 a day. You can pray for them, send gifts at Christmas and follow their progress.

World In Need operates in 22 countries, many of them the poorest in the world. Of these we have sponsorship programmes in 12 countries with hundreds of children waiting in Sierra Leone, Afghanistan, Philippines, India, Uganda and elsewhere. We will send you a profile of your choice and you will receive letters, reports and photographs so that it is a two-way relationship.

Unwanted shares?
You can get rid of these charitably by donating them to ShareGift (registered charity 1052686), an independent charity which specialises in accepting small holdings of shares, particularly those which are not worth selling because that would cost more than they are worth. ShareGift distributes its funds to other UK charities and over 1,000 UK charities have already benefited, including WIN.
