Mid Wales Tourism Network Update

ITV Daybreak is looking for beautiful coastal locations
ITV Daybreak is the new show that will replace GMTV in September. It will be presented by Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley.

As part of the show they are planning to have a weather map where they can cross to live shots of 8 dramatic locations across the UK, one of which will hopefully be in Wales.

They are looking for beautiful, coastal locations and it would be great if we could showcase a Mid Wales location.

We want to know about any existing webcams featuring a coastal location that could be used? Please note that they need to be webcams that refresh every 5 seconds or faster.

They will eventually want to install a long term HD camera - if you can suggest any Mid Wales sites that could be approached please email Duncun Foulkes with details

www.peoplescollectionwales.com
www.casgliadywerincymru.com

People's Collection Wales / Casgliad y Werin Cymru, is a brand new site launched at this year's National Eisteddfod. This is a Welsh Assembly Government 'One Wales' initiative that celebrates Wales' rich cultural and social heritage.

The People's Collection Wales is an interactive and bilingual online experience, dedicated to the history of Wales and its people. It is a rich cultural and social treasure trove that charts the human story of Wales with an archive of reminiscences, photographs, video and audio for future generations.

As well as being of interest to the people of Wales, it will prove a valuable tool for the tourism industry in Wales, and as a source of learning for schools and colleges.

The advanced technology- lead by the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales- allows people to access the site on their mobile phones, and contribute to the site from remote locations by uploading images or information for all to see.

The People's Collection Wales App Trails Cymru is also available http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/trails-cymru/id378788611?mt=8

The Government intends to implement changes in the 2011 Budget. In brief, the proposals are to:
