Iniquity Bar Newsletter

April '06

What's New?

Big shout going out to all our customers from Tim "The Guv'nor" Oakley, the Iniquity general manager!

Welcome to the first newsletter from Iniquity, Battersea's friendliest cocktail bar, where the drinks are cold and the welcome is warm!

Every month, we'll keep you up-to-date with the latest news, drinks promotions, parties and general gossip form the hotbed of sin that is Northcote Road!

This month, it's been a busy one! We've been nominated in the Evening Standard "Bar of the Year 2006" awards - thanks go to our bar and floor staff who make the place so friendly!

We've also had "The Bill" filming an episode or two at our bar!  Look out for Simon Day (ex Fast Show) doing a cameo as the owner of "Crunch" bar - their choice of name, not ours!  When we know the screening date, we'll let you  know - as we'll be showing it in the bar and running a few promos to celebrate our big screen debut!

Coming up in April, we're planning our Big Easter Bash - details below - don't miss it, it's gonna be HUGE!

We're also taking part in a Grolsch promotion called "The Green Light District" - look out for posters in the area soon, and some garish green lighting outside our lovely venue!  Hopefully, they'll be giving us some discounted stock, so we'll be sure to pass those savings on to you, our beloved customers!

As always, we want to hear when we're doing well or cocking up!  If you've got some feedback for us, please get in touch at info@iniquitybar.com !

Roll on the summer!!   All the best,  The Guv'nor!

Finalist in Evening Standard Bar of the Year Awards 2006

Much to our delight and surprise, we've been shortlisted in the Final 5 bars for the "Evening Standard Bar of the Year 2006" Awards.

Normally, this is the playground of the big budget west end venues, but we feel this vidicates our aim of delivering a quality cocktail offering to the neighbourhood market!

We'd like to thank all of our customers who help give the bar it's friendly, 'local' feel.

If we do win the competition, Steve the owner has promised a big free party!  As a Scotsman, it will really hurt him to give away free booze, so let's keep our fingers crossed!

Iniquity's Big Easter Party!  ***Sunday April 16th***

It's Indie Rock'n'Roll, but I like it!!

To celebrate the Easter break, Tim is throwing a big party!  Expect a delicious cocktail of indie-flavoured anthems from Happy Mondays to Bloc Party and Arctic Monkeys to The Jam!

Great drinks promos including Sol at £2.50 all day and £4.50 Appleton and Wyborowa cocktails to get you in the mood!

All kicks off at 3pm -Enjoy the party!

The Gallery

The highlight of the legendary 80s kids TV show, "Hart Beat", was always the Gallery section, which featured works by the audience. Demonstrating a total lack of creativity and a penchant for plagiarism, we'd like to relaunch the idea!  Send us your photos of your nights at Iniquity and we'll award prizes for the best entries every month!

To kick you off, here are some photos for recent parties at the bar. More can be found online by clicking here!

Here Comes The Summer!
(we hope!)

After the coldest March ever, the long winter is drawing to a close!  And when the sun shines, there's no better place to be than on our terrace, knocking back some fresh cocktails, sampling our shareplates, and doing some serious people-watching!

So whether you're shopping on the Northcote Road on a Saturday or strolling home from work, treat yourself to a drink in the sunshine! Open from 5pm weekdays and 2 pm on weekends, there's always a good time to come and see us! Go on, you're worth it!

Party with us - and get free Champagne!

Live for today, plan for tomorrow and party tonight at Iniquity!

If you're organising a party, give us a call! You can book your own space for parties of 10-60 people, order delicious canapes or from our shareplates menu, and we'll also try to meet any special requests including music, cakes, decorations and performing midgets (ok, maybe not the last one..)

For parties of 15 or more, we offer a free bottle of champagne, sometime even two if the boss is feeling generous!

So fill out a bookings form in venue or online by clicking here!

Do it today and come party in the place where good times are our mantra and Neil Diamond is our God!
