Evolving Better Services in Scotland...
The services at Monroe House have been progressively developed since it opened five years ago. In developing these services we have consulted widely with service users themselves, referrers, purchasers and regulatory agencies. In addition to Monroe House, Castlebeck operate two other care centres that provide individuals with more community-based living as part of their ongoing rehabilitation. Three from one... introducing Etive, Anoach and Corbett Lodge |
|
Etive, Anoach and Corbett Lodge are all independent care facilities located at Monroe House - combining home and hospital for adults with a learning disability and challenging behaviour at a time of acute need. The separation of services at Monroe House is intended to support an individualised approach to the differing needs, hopes, abilities and expectations of service users and their families.
The facilities at Monroe House specialise in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of adults of both sexes with a learning disability, significant challenging behaviour and complex needs, including those liable to be detained under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003.

| Get to know Etive and Anoach |
|
Etive is a 14 bed assessment and treatment unit at Monroe House. It offers a safe and structured environment for the assessment, stabilisation and initiation of treatment of individuals with acute challenging behaviour and complex needs, who cannot, at that point in time, have these needs met in other less structured settings.
Anoach is a 12 bed treatment and rehabilitation facility located in Monroe House. Its purpose is to assist service users in making the transition from a more intense treatment environment such as Etive, to a more community based provision, this being achieved at a pace consistent with each individual's needs and wishes and their potential for progress.
Corbett Lodge, situated within the grounds of Monroe House, provides a base for individualised programmes of educational, occupational, recreational and therapeutic activities, based on Castlebeck's unique model of care, the SHARED Approach and our '24.7 system'.

| 24.7 Therapies at Corbett Lodge |
|
Castlebeck's '24.7' is a system of support to enable people to structure their time, build relationships and get a balance between work, self care and leisure. Individual plans are developed to help each person plan how to spend their time.
The 24.7 system utilises Corbett Lodge as a base, and includes structured evenings and weekends for individuals who find unstructured time difficult. Active work takes place within these programmes to enhance local contacts and a sense of belonging in the community. Where possible and appropriate, therapies are also provided in community settings for this purpose.
