Arts Council launches Public Art Handbook

The Arts Council of Northern Ireland has launched a major new Public Art Handbook for Northern Ireland. The Handbook is a clearly-written guide through the process of commissioning works of art for public spaces. 16th June

International Exposure for Local Artists

Northern Irish artists have, for the first time, exhibited their work at a Venice Biennale international showcase for visual arts. Initiated in 1895, the Venice Biennale has evolved into the highest-profile cultural event of its kind. 8th June

The maintenance of an independent Arts Council in Northern Ireland is critically important for the maintenace of an independent artistic culture says Fintan O'Toole at the 2005 Arts Council of Northern Ireland Conference. 10th June

National Lottery Awards Annual Celebration

The National Lottery Awards are an annual celebration of the nation's best Lottery projects. The public will vote for their favourite regional project, which will then go through to a national vote. 29th June

New Lottery Logos and Guidelines

The Arts Council has issued new logos for Lottery Fund recipients and new easy-to-use guidelines for the placement of logos on promotional material. 15th June
