It’s a forward looking release to ensure NewZapp users only see true and valid open and CTR statistics. Full details can be found in this Knowledge Base article.

  • 19th March 2019

    New & Improved:

    • Create & Send | Image Properties
This update adds a full stop to the alternative text automatically added to every image as it is dropped into an email. The full stop will improve the experience of recipients using a screen reader, by providing a pause as the email content is read out.

Background: Including alternative text (alt tags) on images in emails is considered good practice and is therefore approved of by mail filters. This is due to the fact that it provides additional accessibility assistance to recipients using a screen reader to read emails out loud. Every image dropped into a NewZapp email has alternative text added automatically (the word ‘image’ is used by default). This text can be edited using the Image Properties button.
